PowerBook Fixed

Very impressed with the guys/girls over at Apple. They have replaced my motherboard and processor within 4 days of me giving it to them. And since the computer was under warranty, everything was done for free.

By far the best experience I have ever had when a computer has gone down on me. :)

Our First Podcast

So we were screwing around and we did our first podcast. We didn’t edit it so the beginning, middle, and the end are a little rough.

This is not funny, interesting, or informative.

Radio Sock: Episode 1

They will get better with time.

Podcast

Nick and I are going to do our first podcast tonight.

Influencers

In doing the 500 I was thinking about this alot. Just how powerful is the blogosphere or say a network like Gawker or Weblogs? Scoble throws out a couple of numbers, and he is right on.

From the article on how “important” feed subscribers are:

Another way to look at it? Talk to Buzz Bruggeman, CEO of ActiveWords. A few weeks ago he was featured in a major midwest newspaper. Had a picture on the front page of the business section. Glowing review. Had only four downloads of his product. 200,000 circulation newspaper!!

A year ago Buzz was in a major USA national newspaper. I won’t name it here, but it has millions of circulation. He had somewhere around 50 downloads. When I linked to his product? He had 400.

So, go ahead and tell me that the blog/RSS audience doesn’t matter.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

Another example? Talk to the guy who started Riya. He says blogs are more important than being in the Wall Street Journal.

The time will come very soon when marketers realize what is actually being read. It won’t matter who is your managing editor, publisher, or news anchor , or your circulation in certain zip codes.

Clickstreams and who is behind them is what ROI is all about.

Traveling

Houston isn’t very pretty and the Mac was working before I got there. Now the Mac is out of comission for 7 days but at least I’m back in San Francisco.
